Did a quick sketch today based on a photo i saw online, quick pencil sketch + a gradient layer + a texture. I will try to do more this kind of quick sketches...

Icon of ZhuQue

I created a icon of ZhuQue also as "Vermilion Bird". Very similar to the Chinese Phoenix, but more like the Western version of Phoenix which is a firebird, for more information for this mythological creature check: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zhuque

Chinese Type illustration

I created a type illustration for the character "右" can be also read as "友" or "发"

Chinese Painting LOTUS

While I was visiting Beijing last month, i painted a quick painting in my father's studio and played with all his materials, i spent about 1 hour to paint this Chinese painting version of my illustration "Journey to the west". Different than the original illustration, this work is much more fine artish and also much larger in scale.
